Three pronged approach delivers sustainable solution in Scotland

Qaixen is delighted to be supporting a Scottish local council to successfully deploy a new Electronic Document and Records Management System (EDRMS) on Microsoft 365.

Like every public sector organisation responsible for lots of personal records and bound by strict regulations, compliance, governance, and security remains top of the agenda. This Scotland-based local council was looking to roll out Microsoft 365 as their new Electronic Document and Records Management System (EDRMS) but wanted some expert advice to provide assurance that this was the right solution to adopt.

EDRMS

In partnership with leading Information Management consultancy, Metataxis, Qaixen worked closely with the Council team to firstly undertake an independent review of the existing project and make relevant recommendations. We then went on to develop two very thorough Governance and Information Architecture frameworks for Microsoft 365 in line with their existing Records Management plan.

Explains Randy Perkins-Smart, Director at Qaixen: “By taking advantage of Microsoft 365 as a foundation to EDRMS, we are in a position of providing added value immediately. Microsoft 365 allows the council to navigate their information management strategy based on a cloud-first approach. This leads to a more streamlined, process-oriented platform.”

With the review complete and new framework development in place, Qaixen is now supporting the implementation of the new EDRMS on Microsoft 365 in collaboration with the Council and will ensure the team is confident in using the new system moving forward.
